I create and develop Interactive Interfaces, Content Management Systems, Web Sites; web based applications, and their interfaces.
As such, I have become quite adept at bridging the gap between a designer's creative vision, and the technical mind of a developer - and thus my core focus and interest is in interfaces, which I see as the most crucial point where these two completely different fields meet.
My work is with both designers and developers; by communicating the Creative through the Technical, and complementing their work from the opposite field, I give them the freedom to accomplish their vision.
Designers require someone that can envision and understand their final works along with them; a solid team member they can rely on to replicate what they see, and who takes care of all the technical details, without cutting any corners.
Since I code my own body of work, it is customized to your specifications.
Developers have a solid product they would like to communicate to their clients, and the world, but need a reliable and aesthetically pleasing interface with the least amount of interference to what's already built.

Recent and Archived Projects
RogersYahoo
Was responsible for bi-weekly emails, flash banners, and a 'Welcome to Rogers Internet' microsite that accompanied the emails. Depending on the project, this required CSS/XHtml encoding of provided designs, or designing and coding industry-standard Flash banners, based on the RogersYahoo!'s marketing guidelines and standards of quality.
Adobe Systems
I was responsible for the pixel perfect emails on the Adobe account at Rapport. The emails were sent out about two or three times a month, and were used for product launches, events and a variety of contests. The challenge was to maintain Adobe's corporate image of beautiful designs that would adapt to all desktop and web-based email programs, such as Outlook, Hotmail, and Mail.
Rexall Pharma Plus
Rexall Pharma Plus, a recognized and trusted name in Canadian drug stores, wanted to link their image in television ads with their website banners. My job to port their advertising onto the web. The process consisted of editing the video files by both cutting individual frames and reducing their numbers, thus reducing the file size. The new files were then reanimated into a Flash banner that looked exactly like their commercial.
Bush Associates Ltd.
To quote their site, 'Bush Associates Ltd. is a fully integrated investment counseling firm serving individuals, families, estates, trusts and investment holding companies.' thirtyseven was approached on a tight deadline to create an XHtml/CSS template for their project, a bilingual website; and to code the most important aspect of the site, the fully animated, Flash navigation system.
Ziplocal
Ziplocal is a Canadian online search directory, providing users with localized search results. Preceding the official launch, Ziplocal asked their stakeholders to thoroughly explore and evaluate their application; I was called in to set up a microsite focused around a message board to be used by said stakeholders. The design was provided by Ziplocal, however the entire microsite had to be set up and launched within four days. As a result, a completely customized and skinned version of the open source application PHPBoard was utilized as the message board's engine. This included learning the architecture of PHPBoard, such as the source-editing, adding and enabling/disabling features.
Helios Energy
Helios Energy was a quick, straight up coding project for thirtyseven. As a company dedicated to the utilization of solar energy, Helios needed something 'light-weight and efficient', and thirtyseven was able to deliver on a short deadline.
Ucan Fasteners
Ucan Fasteners is a highly recognized name amongst contractors for their extensive inventory of concrete anchors and various other fasteners. Taking on one of its largest Content Management System projects at the time, thirtyseven was eager to help create a site that was easily manageable by the client. The customized CMS application was coded in PHP, with an interface that complements the site's original design.
the Blueprint
The project brought to the table by Blueprint was to animate, in Flash, a poster of running sheep; an adage to the company's ideals for going against the norm. The challenge was having to take a single layer Illustrator file, re-create it in Flash and then fully animate it.
JCI
Junior Chamber International (JCI), is an organization of young professionals and entrepreneurs looking to make a difference in the world of business development, both within their community and across the globe. Every year, JCI holds an awards ceremony to honour its members for their contributions and humanitarian efforts. Was contracted to create several animations for the awards site; one for the ceremony itself, and one for each of the award recipients. All animations were hand done in Flash from the original Quark XPress and Illustrator files.
the Influencers
The Influencers is an advertising group believing in the power of grass-roots marketing, with a focus on trend-setters - one of the original social marketing companies. Their goal was to use well placed, eye-catching banners to support the launch of their new site and programs. The project consisted of conceptualizing and building animations from the provided creative, while effectively conveying the client's message.
FFNTO
The event FFNTO was officially labeled as Canada's Outdoor Leather and Fetish Fair, and was held annually at Allen Gardens in Toronto. While considering a site-relaunch, the current year's event needed advertising; I created a series of Flash banners that were utilized on it, and a number of other sites - and remains one of the 'cheekiest' projects I've handled to date.
Bacardi Rum
Media Intelligence
Media Intelligence is a recruitment and career management firm, specializing in Canadian Media. I was fortunate to aide in the encoding, launch and subsequent maintenance of their site. The site is encoded with standards compliant CSS/XHtml, utilizes a Flash header, RSS Feed, and document management through a custom CMS component. I was also responsible for customizing their blog, hosted on Playback.ca.
Mica

50Plus
50Plus.com is the online home of CARP, Canada's largest association for the 45+. Created for 'zoomers', it has earned the title of 'the leading Canadian Internet Portal for the 14.5 million Canadians that are 45+.' I was responsible in creating a series of Flash banners to be utilized throughout their network; internal advertisements, products, pharmacies and the like.
Sit On It
Sit On It is a Toronto-based theater troupe that had an idea for turning a series of plays into a sitcom that would air monthly on their website. thirtyseven took on the project by creating a straight-up, XHtml site that housed all general information about the show and cast/crew bios. Due to copyright laws, the shows were never aired on the web - but the live show became a great success with help from the website.
Old Penang Guesthouse
Old Penang Guesthouse is a pre-war era home converted into 'bed and breakfast' style accommodations and is located in the heart of Georgetown, Penang. With all its history combined with modern amenities, it boosts ideal value for tourists. thirtyseven joined on to create a site that provided information and reservation opportunities. The site was done with reliable, optimized and standards compliant CSS and XHtml encoding.
